The first reason why Batman is the best hero ever is because he has people around him that would mostly do anything for him. They want to protect him and to keep him safe. Batman’s sidekick, Robin is one of those people. In one of the comics Robin and his family were in the circus and had a family act on the trapeze. However his family was killed thus making him not part of the act anymore. Bruce Wayne found him and took him in, creating the new character Robin as Batman’s sidekick. He watches of Batman’s back. The one person however who has always been there for both Bruce Wayne and Batman is Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s butler. Bruce grew up with Alfred being like a father to him because of his parents deaths. Alfred always watches over Batman/Bruce and tells Batman/Bruce when he has gone to far and he sets him straight. Alfred takes care of Batman’s/Bruce’s heart in order for him to push himself. Without theses people Batman might have been one of the villains instead of the hero.

The second reason why is because Batman has the Batcave. The Batcave is the secret headquarters that exists under the Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne’s mansion. It serves as a place of privacy and tranquility. It is a place where Batman keeps all his “super gadgets” / toys and his uniform there. This is to protect his identity. The cave in “Batman Begins” is where Bruce Wayne had fallen into when he was a little boy. The Batcave represents the bat which is the symbol of Batman. This is another reason why Batman is the best, because he has a huge Bat cave as his secret layer.

In “Batman Begins”, the director tells the story of how and why Bruce Wayne chooses to have the bat as his guide to becoming Batman. The story tells of when Bruce Wayne was little and how he fell down a well into a bat cave. He was down there for quite a while surrounded by bats, thus making him mortified of them through out his life. He chooses the bat because he wanted to pick the one thing he was scared of, to get over his fear and to become just like one. Also he choose the bat because many others are frightened of them. Bats are unexplained and mysterious creatures of the night who frighten most people. They lurk the night and are not easily seen. Batman uses the symbol of the bat because he wants to frighten the villains and be a symbol to all. This is the third reason why Batman is the best hero ever!

The fourth reason why Batman the best hero ever is because Batman can hide his true identity by covering all his facial features and changing his voice. Unlike other heroes, Batman changes his voice to a dark and deep one making it hard to know who Batman really is. Also Batman's mask covers all his face except near the mouth. This is unlike Hawkgirl and other heroes who just have a tiny mask that just covers their eyes and does not really hide their true identity. It would be just like wearing glass. Which brings us to Superman who to hide the fact that he - Clark Kent - is Superman, just puts on glasses. That would never trick anyone in real life. Being able to hide your identity is really crucial for heroes because they can not let their enemies find out on account of loved ones and the people they have to protect. Also, it makes it easier to live their life not being followed around and being “celebrities”, outside of being a hero. They can live a normal life. Batman hides his identity the best, making that one of the reasons why Batman is the best hero ever.

The fifth reason why Batman is the best hero ever is because Batman's uniform changes in different versions of comics and movies depending on the day in age. His uniform changes while becoming more high tech and more invincible. It went from yellow, grey, and black to a sold black. First it was like tight spandex and then became a tight hard sold uniform to protect him from dog bites, gun shots, knifes, etc. The suit changes with pop culture and with growing technology. His uniform becomes more like a Swat uniform making it seem more realistic then just having spandex. Spiderman is in a blue and red spandex suit and his uniform only becomes a different color when he becomes “evil”. Other Heroes usually just stay the same.

The sixth reason why Batman is the best hero is because he has to go up against villains that are realistic to villains in real life scenarios. All the major villains Batman faces have a dark side making them really intense and life-like. First there is the Penguin who is a genius criminal that uses deadly weapons and has the ability to do Judo, a form of martial arts. He also has money so he believes that he can do whatever he wants, which is kind of like a mobster. Second is Mr. Freeze who is one of the darkest villains Batman has to face. He looses his wife and his life, metaphorically speaking. He then becomes like a robber/ murderer. A third villain is Two Face, also known as Harvey Dent. Two Face has two sides to himself and has half a disfigured face. Two Face used to be the Hero of Gotham City that Batman could never be to the people of the City. Harvey Dent could be the face of a Hero and could be the white knight. However, half of his face got burned and his lover died in an explosion. This forced him to turn evil and made him into one of the worst villains. He would use a coin, half burned like his face to decide his victim's fate - life or death. Then there is the villain of all time, the Joker. The Joker is a man who is completely insane, murderous and a manic. He believes however that he is not crazy. The Joker is a loony who is to osmart for his own good, is a prankster, and has a sick sense of humor. He also thinks of Batman as his toy. All the villains from Superman, Spider man, Wonder woman, etc. do not relate to villains people face in reality. We have mobsters, rapists, serial killers, murderer's and so does Gotham City. Batman resembles a detective who fights against evil making him the best hero ever.

The seventh reason why Batman is the best hero ever is because he had intriguing sound effects; action phrases. In the earlier films and cartoons, the authors and directors would use striking sound effects/ action phrases to attract more audience. Some of the most popular and repeated phrases were “POW!”, “KAPOW!”, “BAP!”, “SOCK” and “ZLOTT!”. They were considered sound effects but technically they were phrases that would flash on the screen during fight scenes. The phrases expressed emotions and made the fights seem more dramatic. He is soft hearted, but also has a dark side making him more appealing and breathtaking. Batman not only does good for Gotham City itself, but for the people of the city. Unlike the rest of the heroes, Batman does not have any “super powers”; however, he does have "super gadgets" also know as high tech toys. He uses these "super gadgets" to do things his fellow heroes can do or to help him with achieving what the other heroes can do. Some of the most popular “super gadgets" are the Batarang and the Batmobile. The Batarang, which is a metal bat-shaped boomerang. Some Batarangs explode, some are used for scaling walls and there are also electric charged boomerangs. The Batmobile is Batman’s car, which has been equipped with everything from machine guns to autopilot, a jet engine, a rear-firing rocket launcher, an oil slick nozzle, and more. The tenth reason why Batman is the best hero ever is because he is human. Unlike Superman, Spider man, Flash and all the rest of the heroes, Batman does not have any “super powers” or “super abilities”. Batman can not fly. He does not have any super strength. He can not swing from one building to another with a web that comes out of his wrist. He does not have super speed, a bullet proof body or x-ray vision; he is just a human being like the rest of us. As kids look up to police man, fire man, doctors, etc. who are everyday heroes, they can also look up to Batman who is just like these everyday heroes. People can relate to Batman because he is a more realistic character and he goes through a lot of the same struggles that most people go through everyday. Batman knows he is not invisible and knows that he has faults. Batman aka Bruce Wayne, makes mistakes, has feelings and has a dark side. Batman is Bruce’s Wayne’s dark side. Bruce is the gentle side and Batman is his violent side. He loves his butler and friend from growing up, but hates the people responsible for killing his parents. But that is what human is being about; love, hate, dark sides, gentle sides, making mistakes and being able to feel.
